How to separate this book into chapters?

The Alchemist by paulo coelho is a book I need to read for a summer assignment to turn in on the first day of school. It says to summarize the chapters but there are no chapters in the book! Its divided into 2 parts....and the book is like 167 pages long. And there are little sun-shaped symbols that separate it like sections but they are very very short sections. Theres a sun symbol on every 2 pages or every 16 pages! There are 40 of the section symbols in the whole book but Im not sure if I should count those as chapters because a chapter could be as short as 2 pages...should I just count every 4 sections as a chapter...? Is there another copy of the book that divides it into chapters? Help!!
