Upgrading on United international flights?

I'm flying Seattle-Chicago-Sao Paulo- rio de janeiro in two weeks, and would like to upgrade from economy to first class, at least business class if not possible, on the Chicago-Sao Paulo leg. How do I go about doing this and how much would it cost?
