Mass Effect 2-Shepard Customization Help?

I've just purchased this game for the PS3 and was wondering if anyone had any guides or custom pics of their Shepards. When I played the original on the 360 I stuck with the preset male, but always sort or regretted it. Only thing is, when I actually try to create my own, he looks pretty terrible. Considering how good my DA2 Hawke looks I don't think its because I lack creativity or the knowledge of what makes someone cool looking lol, I just can't seem to get it right this time. It can be male or female, just please Help! :D
