Was it right to do that?

I found a dog on the streets and took it too the animal shelter.The dog looked so bad and i wanted to keep it but i new it wasnt right.When i found out it was German Shepard\Siberian husky mix i had too look at her one more time!I looked at the cage and she looked like a wolf!I thought so cute!I cried really when Mishka(i think thats how you spell) Whimpered for me at her cage.I felt so sad!Was it the right thing too do leave her there?Should i go back and adopt her?The owner has not picked her up should i adopted now or later?Please help my stomach is flipping!
