What are some good novels with an Andalusian/Arabic setting?

An Egyptian lady I know recently recommended any books on Jinn and related myths. She says the stories both scared and intrigued her. She did not specify a title. For my money, I tend to lean towards the sentimental Arabian Nights...hope this was what you were seeking.
