Why this German Shepard?

I have a three year old very obedient German Shepard. He never strays and I totally trust to be left off the leash while playing outside. This morning we were playing in a field by ourselves, and all of a sudden he took off running! He was out of my sight so quick. He has never left me, he is always right by my side. It took about 30 min for my kids and I to find him. He was just strolling by the lake by himself without a care in the world. I was so scared and upset. Why do you think he left me? Im constantly tripping over this dog in my home cause he follows me everywhere. Im confused

Why does my dog try to attack me?

our family keeps him on a very long runner because of the neighborhood traffic and generally he is a good smart dog hes a German Shepard and every time i go out to see him he is fine when i walk within his reach but when i go to pet him he snarls his lips and barks like hes crazy. i have had one instance where he broke his chain and successfully and kindly let me put a leash on him pet him on the head and back and bring him back home. i just dont understand i dont have a fear of him until after he freaks out so why does he?

Dogs and puppy mouthing the neck?

I have a 15 week old lab mix and a 9 year old shepard mix. The lab has been in the house since he was 6 weeks old. They have started playing more aggressive, but my 9 year old dog loves playing with the puppu. However, the 9 year old will flip the puppy on his back and put her mouth over the puppies neck. What happened to Nickelodeon?

I was flipping through my TV guide yesterday and the only shows Nick now plays are iCarly, Victorious, Bigtimerush, and of course Spongebob. Or at least those are the only shows Nick plays to death! I've actually tried watching icarly but every 10-15 seconds you hear that dumb laugh track that sounds the same every time! It's so dumb!! Even Spongebob has changed, his voice is higher and Patrick has just got blank. In the old episodes Patrick would at least have an idea or point to make now it seems like he's an unexisting nothing. I was born in '94 so i'm use to watching the old and meaningful Spongebob. And now Nick is about to start airing some dumb show called 'Bucket and Skinner'?? Who wants to watch that! I have a little sister who's 8 and she doesn't even like Nick. All the things they do and all the money they spend to advertise a dumb show like that or a dumb cartoon, can't they just put up a classic cartoon (like Rugrats or Doug) more people (even kids age 6-11) will watch? Nick doesn't even have any cartoons hardly anymore! A about a year ago, they had a marathon about people kissing called 'Kiss-a-thon' I don't know any kids age 6-11 who wants to watch that, or even would. Nick is really going down the drain, I catch myself watching shows from the 90's on the internet that actually make me laugh. And they're funny enough to have an audience instead of laugh tracks. Hello, I just rescued a border collie/Shepard cross?? from my local shelter. Long story short she wanders and pulls on her leash. She is barely 1 year old if that matters I don't know. Anyway I am trying to teach her to walk nicely or to jog in a straight fashion so as not to trip over her. I haven't any experience with harnesses. Will this make training her easier? How to separate this book into chapters?

The Alchemist by paulo coelho is a book I need to read for a summer assignment to turn in on the first day of school. It says to summarize the chapters but there are no chapters in the book! Its divided into 2 parts....and the book is like 167 pages long. And there are little sun-shaped symbols that separate it like sections but they are very very short sections. Theres a sun symbol on every 2 pages or every 16 pages! There are 40 of the section symbols in the whole book but Im not sure if I should count those as chapters because a chapter could be as short as 2 pages...should I just count every 4 sections as a chapter...? Is there another copy of the book that divides it into chapters? Help!!

You should definitely go by plane. The flight is about an hour and a half long. Although it will be more expensive, it's not worth it going by bus. The actual distance is 425km, and the road between the two cities, the Dutra, is almost constantly packed with traffic. I'd say it'd take you at least some six hours by bus. So I'd go by plane is I were you.

I think I am depressed after starting my day like this every Friday?

Missing cartoon movie....?

I used to watch this cartoon movie when I was younger. It's about this two siblings, an older girl and a younger boy who were playing in the woods. Then the two kids stumble upon a feast prepared by the fairies(?) who were living in the woods. The boy who was really hungry ate one of the pastries on the table, unknown to them that there is policy that any outsider who eats anything would have to stay in the woods with them forever. I've just purchased this game for the PS3 and was wondering if anyone had any guides or custom pics of their Shepards. My dog isnt as playful suddenly?

So our dog,a female Australian Shepard 3 years old, just isn't as playful. She normally jumps up on my mom and chases the ball ;really energetic. Does our dog have arthritis, torn ACLs, or neither?

I have a twelve year old Shepard/Husky mix. She is my boyfriends "childhood" dog and we took her from his mother about four months ago when his mother moved. For the past two months Kia (the dog) is having trouble walking. If she goes on any hard floor such as wooden or tile she loses her footing and does the splits with her hind legs or falls over while frantically trying to get up. I believe this is painful for her beceause when I try to help her up she either yelps or looks back like she is going to snap at me. She also crosses her legs when she walks sometimes and appears to be pigeon footed in her hind legs. When she pees she almost always sits in it from doing the splits while peeing or pooping. I have been looking for what this could be but cant find anything that matches her symptoms. I am looking for what this could possibly be because our regular vet doesnt have an x-ray machine. So, if I should go to our vet and get a referral first or just go to a vet with an x-ray machine first. does anybody have an idea what might be wrong with her?

It is a beach city, a cultural hot-spot with a lively night and relaxing days, definitely a place for a vacation with friends, to relax, or to party. Sao Paulo is more of a tourist city, a real business landmark with a lot happening all the time. Don't go if you're not really interesting in the non-dance and women side of Brazil's culture. Should I be depressed that I'm gonna be living alone with my grandmother?

Well my mom is moving back to Sao Paulo, and I'm really sad. Me and her never got along when she lived with me and my grandmother, and I never thought that I'd be sad that she's leaving. I think I'm mainly sad that I'm gonna have to live alone with my 83 year old grandmother. I know it's wrong for me to be feeling like this, but It's just a depressng ora whenever I'm here. Cause she's so old and it just feels like she's gonna pass any minute. I'm also 21 and have a daughter, and I would move out but I suffer from panic and anxety disorder so it's hard for me to work and save money to move out. I look at this as motivation to get on the ball so I can move out, but with my panic disorder it's gonna be SO hard. What can I do?

I forgot what these terms often were, but most often I cannot tell the difference between a connotation and a denotation. I looked up connotation in German but it turned out it was Konnotation. That didn't help much at all. It just basically translated and then gave me back the same word with just a different spelling. Then I looked up denotation in German and it returned Denotation back so this doesn't help at all. It is believed that a denotation is what something actually means and a connotation means what someone thinks something means. Like for instance, let's take a look at this Japanese sentence: 僕の誕生日は六日々に。boku no tanjoubi wa roku hibi ni. It's a sentence I uttered when I was talking about that I was so much into the Japanese language while watching the new Japanese cartoon on Cartoon Sidekick which I believe it was originally written in Japanese first before it was translated into English. "僕の誕生日は六日々に" This Japanese sentence denotes that my birthday is in 6 days or is 6 days from today. In German, I said it as "Das Japanisch Satz bedeutet mein Geburtstag ist in sechse Tage." I hoped that German sentence was correct because I haven't pronounced a lot of German in a while. I said "sechse" when I probably meant to say "sechs." Then I repeated the Japanese sentence "僕の誕生日は六日々に" but for someone who has studied basic Japanese words and vocabulary and isn't so sure of the word order could connote that this sentence means, "My birthday is 6 days in" meaning "It's been my birthday for 6 days" when I actually mean "It is in 6 days." Which one is the connotation and which one is the denotation and is there a better word in German to help me understand what it means in English? I don't believe German actually helped much especially when English is so Germanic and if you could give good definitions for the English words, you could also give good definitions for the German words.

5 month old terrior/shepard mix with generalized red mange not going away?

I have a 5 month old puppy who is currently on medication for red mange and a secondary bacterial infection. He has been on it for a few months now and it just keeps getting worse. The vet said it is genetic because his mother had it and he has a weak immune system. I am wondering If there is anything else that can be done for him. He is miserable, and antibiotics with the baths and meds, don't seem to be helping. The last resort is the vet telling me to euthanize him because it will be a recurring problem. I rescued him from.the humane society and he is the sweetest dog ever.

Worried about the dogs when baby arrives?

My boyfriend and I are expecting a baby in September. He has two dogs I was never fond of (a 5 year old german shepard mix and a 2 year old miniature pinscher) The big dog is very territorial and has separation anxiety with my boyfriend. She barks at anyone that walks by the house (We were most recently at a family reunion and had her outside and she was barking at everyone and even tried to nip at a little kid!) How do I stop my recently nippy dog?

I have a Beagle- Australian Shepard mix, who has what can best be identified as little-man syndrome. She is EXTREMELY obnoxious about strangers in the house, even if these "strangers" she's met a million times before. She is terrified of children, having had a lot of bad experiences with being kicked and abused, and this causes her to growl at them and not let them come near her. Recently, a next door neighbor came over that she knows well enough, and she nipped him in the back of the leg. Probably a week later, a small girl came over when I wasn't home, and she nipped the poor girl in the hand. Just now, a close friend of mine came over, who tried to reach out and pet her, and though she has also known him for some time, tried to nip him as well. I'm at my wits end, with my mom telling me I need to get rid of her, but I know with her attitude towards strangers she would not be able to be adopted. I should also add that she has been socialized since I first held her in my arms, and used to be able to just fall asleep in anyone's lap, even if she had just met them. She is also an alpha, and since living with my mom, who owns 2 black labs, has become increasingly stressed out. We are know giving them to better homes, because I am about to have a baby, and as they are sweet dogs, we don't have the time or patience to properly train them. The best thing for them is a new home, but for Lexi, the dog in question, I know in my heart that is not the case. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I can't remember much about this show, but I saw it when I was a kid (so in the 90s). Need help remembering a UK kid's dinosaur program with song?

So when I was a kid in the early 90s i remember watching a VHS tape cartoon/show/documentary about dinosaurs, the most memorable thing was that it contained this very British sounding song with a posh sounding guy singing all the different names of the dinosaur types, I believe the dinosaurs were realistic looking but made out of plasticine with stop motion and that there was a time frame running below the song. Just going to Brasil alone would be an adventure on its own but watching the world cup will make it 10x better. There are plenty of beautiful city's in Brasil nd it bugs me that people only think of Rio, and Sao Paulo, but what ever. Since you want to stay in Sao Paulo you should explore the rich culture of the people around you. Visit the beaches and see the women because apparently that's a big thing. Also you should do some banana boat riding in the ocean and have some fun in the sun at the beach. But if you would like to stay in the city check out some night clubs or if you want to learn about the culture see some museum's or experiences the people for your self, go to near by towns and explore the life style. There are plenty of things to do in Brasil but you just have to go with the flow when you are there.

Tips on training a 4 month old rotti/shepard mix!!?

Okay so i offered to train my friends dog, I am fairly good at dog training, (I have fully trained around 10 dogs in my life... I am only 15 and definatly not a pro) Anyway i am not the type of person to give up so i am trying EVERYTHING! Okay so lets name his problems! He is definatly a biter, he will bite you if constantly, I have tried shutting his mouth and holding it, pushing under his tongue, holding his mouth opened, snapping his leash, yelling ow, ignoring it, spraying him with water, putting bad scents and tastes on my skin, but everything i do he just come back and bites you as soon as you are done! I need help with that for sure! Also barking! he will bark none stop, they have tried a bark collar, i have tried spray bottle, leash snapping, yelling quiet, trying to distract him, cloling his mouth... nothing works with this dog! Need help with that also! He is doing pretty good with everything else, he is house trained, knows come, sit, paw... I am working on lay down, perfecting a sit, walking on a leash ect... What should i teach him next? Also every dog i have ever trained i have also trained them a bit of agility to burn energy and just for fun you know? but i have not very much expiirience with this breed, but love a challenge.. Would this breed be okay for jumping? Rotti's are pretty stalky, and he looks mostly like one maybe a bit thinner, would this hurt his joints? Also i already know about not starting them until they are 6 months, and only doing it once a week until they are 1 year. Thanks ALOT!!!

My dog drinks so much...it has me worried..?

So my dog just drinks tons of water a day sometimes i've seen him drink for about 3-4 minutes straight and i have to refill his water bowl up...he weighs about 150 and is a puppy german shepard...i love him very much and i just sometimes get worried that about the constant drinking....in the middle of the night i have to fill it up because he sometimes drinks it all while i am asleep and i also fill it up sometimes between 2-3 times a day and this bowl can hold a lot of water i can't give an actually amount though probably like 3 bottles of ozarka water or 4. Anyway is there some kind of problem he might have or can he get sick off of drinking too much. I would like to know if i should take him to a vet or something.

13 year old niece acting strange while over to visit this weekend? How do you talk to a teenager?

Occasionally family comes down to visit and normal outdoor bbq activities go on.. Well this time while i was doing some wood working and in my care was my 13 year old niece because she did not want to go to park with the rest of family so she stood behind.. I noticed she untied our german shepard with the leash so i thought she was taking him for a walk and payed no attention.. But then about 20 minutes later seen her squeezing out of the garage with the dog still on its leash.. I asked her is she had taken him for a walk and she nervously replied " he ran in here and I could not get him out". So I asked her if she wanted help chaining him back up and she said "no I got him". So she chained him up then went straight for the shower...
